The arrival of the new long-range P51 Mustang escort fighter has made deep penetration raids into Germany a survivable prospect for our heavy bombers. You will conduct an escort, or "ramrod", mission, protecting a bomber group all the way to Berlin and back. This will be the first time American bombers have reached Berlin.
This is a massive raid. You have ten P-51B-7 Mustang fighters under your command. You will escort twelve B-17G Flying Fortress heavy bombers.
